Leadership Changes in 2020
Change is the act or process through which something becomes different. For different people it can mean different things. For some, it’s the sadness of leaving something behind. For many, it’s simply part of life. For others, it’s part of perpetual improvement. For Xenosystems, it’s a great opportunity, and a natural consequence of our golden rule: real life first.
TheBookfinder and I spent two years building the organisation to become an affable, open, and mature community of diverse individuals and friends; with special attention given to ensure the atmosphere remained a constant as it grew and evolved.
Throughout these short years, we were joined by a fantastic team of directors; with whom we’ve been working, behind the scenes, to define who we are, what we do, and why we do it. This process has been one of the greatest sources of joy in our gaming lives: working together to develop and support what we believe will be one of the most successful organizations in the Star Citizen universe.
We couldn’t be happier that so many of you chose to share our vision of what an organisation should be. You are what makes this organization great. Thanks to you, Xenosystems is both trusted and sought out for friendly cooperation by other like-minded organisations.
However, the time has come for The Bookfinder and I to step back from the day to day running of the organization. We’ve not made this decision lightly, but personal circumstances require us to place our attention where it’s needed most. Real life has to come first.
In light of our decision to step down, K0I0S and Helixio have also taken stock and chosen to focus on their real life challenges, for the foreseeable future.
We see this as a natural evolution of the organization. We never created Xenosystems just for the two of us. We designed it, from the very first day, to be as autonomous as possible; with an intentional (and equal) distribution of responsibility. Xenosystems has an extraordinarily solid foundation and a very bright future. We’re passing on the flame to people of great skill, character, experience, and willpower; from whom we’ve learned much about the very best of human nature. While we are resigning from our positions of shared responsibility at the helm of this great organisation, we will of course stay in the org and keep on playing together and laughing together.
The role of Chief Executive Officer has been created to provide the decisive leadership the organization requires to continue its evolution into the new year, and to continue what we started. We’re excited to announce that Heatproofsean was unanimously voted into the position by the Board of Directors. We wholeheartedly wish him, 3quin0x, Medic and DataRat every success as the ongoing leaders of Xenosystems.
Support them and they will support you. This fantastic org belongs to all of you. The future belongs to all of you.
